The clients, empty nesters, wanted an extensive remodel of their kitchen and began collecting photos, special objects and ideas that would help them create a beautiful “heart of the house” where they could gather with their children and grandchildren. An entire wall was removed to allow a view of Lake Michigan from the kitchen. The layout and materials selected for this project were functional and durable as well as beautiful, since this space would be hosting large gatherings to celebrate one beautiful family.
