A Chicago couple desired a "cottage" retreat from the high-speed pace of the big city life for their family but they still wanted to maintain a metropolitan, modern flair. We wanted to create a space big enough to entertain in, yet intimate enough for two. Essential to the design was seamlessly integrating interiors with the gorgeous beachside views. Likewise, the clients wished to utilize classic furnishings, finishes, materials and lighting to match the special character of the home.
