BAC Design Group was launched in 2012 when we realized that design and construction worked best when coming from a team who understands the construction process. We approach each project holistically to design spaces that are a true reflection of our clients. Our designs are influenced by the character of northern Michigan and are ever evolving and always inspired. In addition to assisting in all phases of the design process, we work collaboratively with Architects and Builders to transform houses into homes. Our goal is to earn your trust and shoulder the worry to ensure you can focus on making selections that you will be happy with for years to come.
BAC Design Group’s team consists of experts in all areas of design, construction and craftsmanship. While we keep up with all of the latest trends in our industry, we don't merely follow them, but rather strive to provide our clients with thoughtful solutions to their particular desires and needs. Our full range of services can meet almost any design-build requirement. And because we respect your time and value your input, you will work directly with the lead designer at every phase of your project, receiving immediate responses and the most accurate answers to any questions you may have. Our senior designer, Marty Rhein, is both a Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) and a Certified Bath Designer (CBD) through the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA).

BAC Design Group provides a full range of custom residential and commercial design consulting services as well as building and installation services. The following list is by no means exclusive – inspiration and requests from our clients expand it continually!
We start the design process by meeting with you to discuss your vision and goals for the project. This meeting typically occurs at the job site. If you don't have a budget in mind, we'll begin the process of determining what it should be.
Next we'll sit down to review the initial project renderings, discuss cost, and project management expectations. We'll make sure that our project understanding matches what you envision for your space.
A contract will be signed by both parties that outlines the cost estimate, scope of work, and estimated time frame. Collect a agreed upon deposit retainer that will allow the designer to share creative concepts with the client.
After further discussion and review, we will provide you with a final project rendering for review and approval. We also, finalize the floorplan, and select or design the architectural features, finishes, and electrical fixtures.
Depending on what your project consists of, the selection of finishes, hardware, appliances, etc., will be an ongoing, and fun part of your project. During this phase, we set a firm installation date.
Now the fun truly begins! After the design has been solidified and materials have been ordered, we break ground and begin building. We work very closely with our contractor to ensure all finishes, plumbing and electrical items get installed per plan, functions properly and looks beautiful.
